I turned 60 years old this past weekend. That means it was time to update my headshot. I was excited to document my 6th decade for posterity. For some, being photographed is a painful, dreadful experience. Im not sure why. I guess its the realization that we’re not as good looking as we thought we were, or as we knew we were. Everyone comes in with a certain amount of “well…let’s get this over with.” Come on, this can be…fun! I promise you, if you come in with an expectation that this headshot photo session is going to be enjoyable, and I promise you that’s what I’m going for, it will be. I love to be in front or behind the camera. I grew up with a Father that was a photographer so my brothers and I were photographed all the time.
For the images below, I used an app that Canon provides for my iPhone that enables me to control my Canon 5d Mark IV camera from anywhere in the room, including in front of the lens. I hope you enjoy my self-portrait images and know that if I can do this well with my face…how much better will I be able to capture you and your personality. Please call me and give me the opportunity to create a special image of you.
